• 11% increase in government, administration and defence jobs

 

Employment by Occupation

In 2006, the top five occupations in the Energy Corridor were estimated to be:
• Managers and administrators (19% share of total employment)
• Professionals (15% of total employment)
• Associate professionals (13% share of total employment)
• Tradespersons and related workers (12% share of total employment)
• Intermediate, clerical, sales and service workers (12% share of total employment)

The synergies between the development of the mining and energy and the existing sectors of the economy will shape the future success of the Energy Corridor.
